Hawkesbury Performing Arts Festival
Date: Term 2
Students attending the annual Hawkesbury Performing Arts Festival in Term 2, experience an exciting and inspiring celebration of creativity and talent in collaboration with the entire Hawkesbury learning community. The event brings together students from various backgrounds to share their passion for music, dance, and other art forms in a lively and supportive environment. This experience not only entertains but also encourages students to appreciate the hard work that goes into performing and the power of the arts.
Book Week & National Storytime
Date: Term 3
Book Week is an annual celebration held in Term 3 at our school, where we celebrate a love of reading and encourage students to discover the joy of books and the magic of stories. Students engage with literature in a fun and interactive way, helping to develop their language skills and appreciation for narrative. It is an opportunity to celebrate the art of storytelling and support literacy development.
Kindergarten Orientation
Date: Term 4
Our Kindergarten Orientation Program in Term 4 each year, is a heartfelt welcome that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both our Kindergarten students and their families. It's time for them to discover that Colo Heights Public School is a place where they will learn, grow, and make new friends. Parents and caregivers also find comfort in meeting our friendly school staff and gaining a clear understanding of what’s ahead. It’s a time of reassurance and celebration, turning any worries into hope and excitement. Our Kindergarten Orientation Program is more than an introduction—it’s the start of a beautiful journey filled with discovery, friendship, and the promise of countless happy school days to come.
